16.11.2002 "12 January 2002 Report from the 2002 end-of-season celebration"

On November 16th, the all-year end-of-season celebration took place under the motto "BACK TO THE ROOTS" in Groß-Zimmern. Between 11am and 1pm the HHF Kart Cup 2002 took place in the Heinz-Harald Frentzen Race-sportcentre in Groß-Zimmern. During this happening, club-members fighted for good lap-times.


The original end-of-season celebration took place in an extra ordinary location near the Heinz-Harald Frentzen Rennsportcenter in Groß-Zimmern. Our moderator Andreas Richter welcomed our guests and opened the buffet with a lot of specialities from Switzerland.

At 2 o'clock pm Heinz-Harald Frentzen arrived and was welcomed with a very warm applause. After Heinz-Harald Frentzen welcomed the club-members an his fans he went from table to table with the chef of the club René Sauerwein and signed autographs, took part on photo sessions and answered questions. A lot of fans asked for signs of their idol on their brought art-prints, photos, t-shirts and caps.
After Heinz-Harald Frentzen provided half of the tables, our moderator took him on the stage where he hold three long interviews. He talked about the problematic season 2002, his abrogation at Arrows as about his first Grand Prix for Sauber in Indianapolis.


Then Heinz-Harald Frentzen honoured the winners of the HHF-Kart-Cup 2002.
Best female junior was Jennifer Mintgen with a lap-time of 33,79.
The winner of the HHF Kart-Cup was Mark Koch (1st place; 31,93),
Marcel de Vos on 2nd place; 32,11 und Frank Thorn on 3rd place; 32,11.
The fastest woman on this day was Jennifer Müller with a lap time all about 31,96.

All winers got a hand-signed goblet from Heinz-Harald and a certificate.


After this, the regional Fan-Speakers of local Heinz-Harald-Frentzen-Clubs were honourated. This are Lissy Weyer from the fan-meeting point Düsseldorf, Judith-Eva Flath from the fan-meeting point Groß-Zimmern, Jennifer Müller from the fan-meeting point Ehringshausen, Sabine Runk from the fan-meeting point Elsendorf, Arno Paul from the fan-meeting point Freising, Thomas Gall from the fan-meeting point Stuttgart, Anke Decker from the fan-meeting point Berlin/Prenzlauer Berg, Uwe Müller from the fan-meeting point Koblenz-Arzheim, Silvia Krämer from the fan-meeting point Bornheim-Hersel, Frank Pötschokat from the fan-meeting point Dessow, Dieter Mintgen from the fan-meeting point Andernach und Ulrich Hilgers from the fan-meeting point Mönchengladbach-Rheydt.

Every Fan-Speaker received an hand-signed certifaction from Heinz-Harald as like as an hand-signed modell of an Heinz-Harald Frentzen helmet in scale 1:8. Heinz-Harald thanked for the good suport an excellent cooperation.

The winners of the summer-lottery got their prices personally from Heinz-Harald Frentzen. Daniela Müller got a signed visor of an helmet; Sandra Beckers went home with a signed Arrows Formulal 1 photo and Kathleen Pannach was happy about her Prost AP04 modell car in scale 1:43.


After the award ceremony Heinz-Harald Frentzen was on the last tables, signed autographs and was on small talks with the guests.


At 5:30 pm Heinz-Harald said goodbye and the official part of the happening was all over now. The club-members finished the evening in a small round and looked forward to the next celebration in 2003.
